Essentially Yours Needs Items

Parkersburg News and Sentinel

This is just a reminder to let you know that Essentially Yours is still here. We need the community's support to help us offer our support to the once homeless.

Our mission is to provide essential home good items to the once homeless who were homeless for various reasons due to the economy, such as job closings, loss of jobs, foreclosures, sickness, and those persons who experienced a disaster (i.e. fire, flood) that rendered them homeless. We help those who are transitioning from the Carriage house, and transitional homes, and battered men and women starting over again.

We welcome referrals from the various community service agencies. A part of our mission is to help relieve the financial burden of those starting over again.

We are in the lower level of the Salvation Army's office building at 534 Fifth St., Parkersburg.

We accept clients by referrals only. The client must have a valid ID, Social Security cards for each member in their household and a current lease.

Our services are limited to assist each family or individual once every 18 months, unless extenuating circumstances exist.

We provide these clients with new and slightly used household good items contributed to us from the community. The items are sheets, towels, dishes, silverware, glasses, new pillows, blankets, curtain spread/comforters, pots and pans, personal hygiene items such as soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste/brush, razor, toilet tissue, paper towel, household cleansers, dish detergent, soap powder, bleach, all-purpose cleanser, mop, broom and some small appliances if available.

If you have any of these items please donate them to the worthy cause of Essentially Yours.

Essentially Yours is a nonprofit, non-salaried, volunteer-based operation.
